Le prototype a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9truit quelques mois plus tard durant un vol d&#8217;essai.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Le 21 avril 1956, il s&#8217;\u00e9crase dans le d\u00e9sert, pr\u00e8s de l&#8217;a\u00e9roport de Tucson. Entr\u00e9 dans une vrille dos incontr\u00f4lable, le capitaine Dale Ryder, dont s&#8217;\u00e9tait le premier vol d&#8217;essai sur l&#8217;appareil, s&#8217;est \u00e9ject\u00e9. Les causes de cet accident ont \u00e9t\u00e9 identifi\u00e9es : Le compensateur \u00e9tait r\u00e9gl\u00e9 \u00e0 pleine piqu\u00e9.
