Con\u00e7u et commercialis\u00e9 en kit par BD-Micro Technologies (BMT), la plupart des composants respectent les sp\u00e9cifications d&#8217;origine de Bede, bien que BMT ait apport\u00e9 de nombreuses am\u00e9liorations. Le premier kit \u00e0 avoir vol\u00e9 est celui de Justin Lewis, construit par L.D. Il est bas\u00e9 sur le r\u00e9acteur PBS TJ-100 dans sa version de 265 lb de pouss\u00e9e. Ce turbor\u00e9acteur compact et l\u00e9ger, dot\u00e9 d&#8217;un FADEC moderne, offre un bon rapport poids\/puissance. L&#8217;int\u00e9gration, appel\u00e9e Quantum Turbine Powerplant System, a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9e avec l&#8217;aide de PBS, permettant le d\u00e9veloppement de plusieurs fonctionnalit\u00e9s li\u00e9es \u00e0 la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 du moteur. En 1999, il a obtenu un baccalaur\u00e9at en sciences a\u00e9ronautiques, un certificat de pilote professionnel multimoteur et un certificat d&#8217;instructeur de vol \u00e0 l&#8217;Universit\u00e9 du Dakota du Nord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il a acquis de l&#8217;exp\u00e9rience en tant qu&#8217;instructeur de vol pendant plusieurs ann\u00e9es jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 ce qu&#8217;il parte pour l&#8217;\u00e9cole des aspirants officiers de la marine. Apr\u00e8s avoir termin\u00e9 l&#8217;\u00e9cole de pilotage de la marine, M. Lewis a \u00e9t\u00e9 reconnu comme le meilleur aviateur de jet tactique dipl\u00f4m\u00e9 en 2001. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 affect\u00e9 au F-14D Tomcat et en 2004, il est pass\u00e9 au E-6B Mercury (une variante du Boeing 707).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En 2007, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 charg\u00e9 de former la prochaine g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de pilotes de chasse et de porte-avions de la Marine sur le T-45 Goshawk.
