Il a fait son premier vol le&nbsp;<strong>15 mai 2012<\/strong>&nbsp;\u00e0 Santa Paula (Californie) avec Dan aux commandes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cette version du BD-5J a \u00e9t\u00e9 appel\u00e9e ainsi en raison des nombreux changements pris en compte dans la conception. Elle &nbsp;\u00e9tait \u00e9quip\u00e9e de :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Un turbor\u00e9acteur <strong>PBS TJ100<\/strong>&nbsp;de 110 kgp <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Un&nbsp;turbor\u00e9acteur <strong>JetCat P200<\/strong>&nbsp;de 20 kgp. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Lors des essais, un feu d\u00e9clar\u00e9 sur le JetCat a fortement endommag\u00e9 le fuselage, ce qui a n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 la reconstruction d&#8217;une grande partie de l&#8217;appareil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Afin d&#8217;\u00e9viter tout nouveau probl\u00e8me, il est reconstruit en mono-r\u00e9acteur, et prend le nom de Kedan 2.
