Elle a eu d&#8217;\u00e9normes difficult\u00e9s et on a annonc\u00e9 \u00e0 plusieurs reprise sa disparition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Avec la sortie du F.-5 , sous sa nouvelle identit\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0<strong>Aero Caproni Trento<\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb il \u00e9tait permis de croire qu&#8217;elle les avaient surmont\u00e9s. Il est assez curieux de constater que le nom de Caproni refait surface pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment \u00e0 la sortie d&#8217;un avion \u00e0 \u00a0r\u00e9action, formule dont il fut probablement l&#8217;un d\u00e8s premier r\u00e9alisateur au monde, avec le\u00a0<strong>Caproni-Campini<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>C&#8217;est un petit monoplan \u00e0\u00a0aile basse, biplace en tandem, propuls\u00e9 par un turbor\u00e9acteur Turbomeca Palas de 150 gp, d&#8217;une ligne r\u00e9solument moderne pour l&#8217;\u00e9poque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>D\u00e9s son premier vol, r\u00e9alis\u00e9 par pilote d&#8217;essai&nbsp;<strong>Ernesto Zanlucchi&nbsp;<\/strong>le&nbsp;<strong>17 mai 1952<\/strong>&nbsp;sur l&#8217;a\u00e9roport Malpensa de Milan, il ne fit aucun doute que le&nbsp;<strong>F5<\/strong>&nbsp;\u00e9tait un avion r\u00e9ussi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le m\u00eame jour Zanlucci, puis\u00a0<strong>Vico Rosaspina<\/strong>, prirent les commandes et effectu\u00e8rent \u00e0 \u00a0son bord toute une gamme d&#8217;acrobaties : tonneaux, looping, amorce de vrille,&#8230; Le\u00a0<strong>F5<\/strong>\u00a0se r\u00e9v\u00e9la d&#8217;une maniabilit\u00e9 remarquable.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"http:\/\/minijets.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Caproni_F5_23.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2651\" srcset=\"https:\/\/minijets.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Caproni_F5_23.jpg 500w, https:\/\/minijets.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Caproni_F5_23-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/minijets.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Caproni_F5_23-18x10.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><figcaption>Caproni F5 (Source Royal Air Force Review &#8211; 1952)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Les premiers essais permirent d&#8217;enregistrer un certain nombre de performances :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>La vitesse maximum au sol est elle fix\u00e9e \u00e0 &nbsp;360 km.h.<\/li><li>A 3.000 m le F.-5 atteint facilement 315 km.h.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Les performance de d\u00e9collage et d&#8217;atterrissage sont excellente. il est apparu, d\u00e9s les vols des 20 et 22 mai, que le F.-5 se posait \u00e0 &nbsp;la fa\u00e7on du Rondone ( F.-4 Rondone autre cr\u00e9ation de Stelio Frati, dont la publicit\u00e9 de l&#8217;\u00e9poque ventait les performances d&#8217;atterrissage), et que sans volet ni frein il s&#8217;arr\u00eatait apr\u00e8s une course inf\u00e9rieur \u00e0 300 m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les essais officiels du Veritas italien situent les distances d&#8217;atterrissage en :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>241 m<\/li><li>154 m en se servant \u00e0 &nbsp;la fois des volets et des freins.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>La vitesse ascensionnelle \u00e9tait excellente si l&#8217;on tient compte qu&#8217;il s&#8217;agit d&#8217;un appareil pesant 750 kg en ordre de vol et qui cependant ne disposait que d&#8217;un r\u00e9acteur 150 kg de pouss\u00e9e<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Toute ces performances r\u00e9sult\u00e8rent de nombreux vols et confirm\u00e8rent tout le bien que l&#8217;on pensait du F5.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u00e0 &nbsp;encore l&#8217;opinion de Vico Rosaspina est formel : Le F.-5 a &#8221; la stabilit\u00e9 et la man\u0153uvrabilit\u00e9 d&#8217;un planeur &#8221; il est d&#8217;un pilotage agr\u00e9able, tr\u00e8s facile et tr\u00e8s solide.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>A ces qualit\u00e9s, il ajoute celle d&#8217;\u00eatre tout en bois, d&#8217;une structure simple, d&#8217;\u00eatre, par cons\u00e9quent, \u00e9conomique, facilement r\u00e9parable. A signaler \u00e9galement, sur le F.-5, les dimensions et le dessin du secteur transparent. celui-ci donne aux deux pilote une excellente visibilit\u00e9.&nbsp;<br>De plus, il se raccorde, \u00e0&nbsp; l&#8217;arri\u00e8re, avec le reste du fuselage, sans d\u00e9crochement, sans solution de continuit\u00e9, ce qui contribue \u00e0&nbsp; la belle ligne de l&#8217;appareil.<br>Par ailleurs les entr\u00e9es d&#8217;air ont \u00e9t\u00e9 dessin\u00e9es de telle sorte qu&#8217;elles ne g\u00eanent pratiquement pas le raccrochement de l&#8217;aile au fuselage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wings<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Le Caproni F.-5 est un monoplan cantilever \u00e0 aile basse, dont l&#8217;intrados affleure la surface ventrale du fuselage. Cette aile, de forme en plan trap\u00e9zo\u00efdale, \u00e0 bord marginaux l\u00e9g\u00e8rement arrondi est affect\u00e9e d&#8217;un l\u00e9g\u00e8re fl\u00e8che et d&#8217;un di\u00e8dre assez prononc\u00e9 qui part de l&#8217;emplanture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fuselage et empennages<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Le fuselage est une coque de section ovale : couples simples et en caisson, recouvert de contreplaqu\u00e9 de bouleau. Pour le train avant, amortissement ol\u00e9o-pneumatique \u00e0 &nbsp;longue course, roue directrice command\u00e9e par le palonnier; cette roue se loge dans le fuselage en se r\u00e9tractant vers l&#8217;arri\u00e8re ; dans la position relev\u00e9e, la moiti\u00e9 de la roue reste sortie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le train principale est fix\u00e9 en arri\u00e8re du centre de gravit\u00e9. Amortissement ol\u00e9o-pneumatique, frein hydraulique \u00e0 &nbsp;bras oscillant (la charni\u00e8re tourne autour du longeron de l&#8217;aile). Il participe au d\u00e9veloppement de plusieurs planeurs con\u00e7us au CVV.<br>Dipl\u00f4m\u00e9 Ing\u00e9nieur en m\u00e9canique de cet institut en 1943, il y commence une carri\u00e8re d&#8217;enseignant en 1944.
