Les premiers essais eurent lieu avec des maquettes en bois d&#8217;environ 90 cm, propuls\u00e9s par des pulso ou des stator\u00e9acteurs. Elles permirent de d\u00e9finir la configuration a\u00e9rodynamique de l&#8217;aile en double delta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les r\u00e9sultats acquis \u00e0 &nbsp;l&#8217;aide de ces petites maquettes furent tr\u00e8s int\u00e9ressant. Toutefois ils demeureraient limit\u00e9s. En juin 1950, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Erik_Bratt\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Erik_Bratt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Erik Bratt<\/a>, le chef du programme de la Saab, proposa de r\u00e9aliser une maquette de volante \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9chelle 7\/10. Le projet fut lanc\u00e9 en novembre 1950, \u00e9quip\u00e9 d&#8217;un turbor\u00e9acteur <a href=\"https:\/\/minijets.org\/en\/300-500\/adder\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"3835\">Armstrong Siddeley Adder<\/a>. De plus, si la mont\u00e9e s&#8217;effectuait \u00e0 l&#8217;aide d&#8217;un syst\u00e8me hydraulique, la descente se faisait par simple gravitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&#8217;atterrissage ne posait pas de difficult\u00e9s bien que la visibilit\u00e9 sur l&#8217;avant soit extr\u00eamement restreinte \u00e0 l&#8217;arrondi, comme sur tous les appareils \u00e0 voilure delta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Des essais ont \u00e9t\u00e9 men\u00e9s avec des vitesses, au contact sol, comprises entre 250 et 150 km\/h.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La distance de roulage \u00e0 l&#8217;atterrissage \u00e9tait de 300 m\u00e8tres. Afin de corriger l&#8217;instabilit\u00e9 longitudinale rencontr\u00e9e aux grands angles, le c\u00f4ne avant fut d&#8217;abord remplacer par un c\u00f4ne plus arrondi. Ce qui lui valut la d\u00e9nomination de&nbsp;<strong>Saab 210 A<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Toujours dans le cadre de cette \u00e9tude, il fut d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de tester les entr\u00e9es d&#8217;air \u00e0 &nbsp;l&#8217;emplanture des ailes, comme cela \u00e9tait pr\u00e9vu sur le futur Draken. Cette configuration fur appel\u00e9e&nbsp;<strong>Saab 210 B<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Saab 210<\/strong>, dans sa version B, a \u00e9t\u00e9 retir\u00e9 du service le 25 octobre 1956, un an apr\u00e8s le 1er vol du Draken.
