Berns<\/strong>, ancien ing\u00e9nieur chez Lockheed Missile Systems, a con\u00e7u un avion amphibie bir\u00e9acteur destin\u00e9 au transport de <strong>huit passagers<\/strong> pour des usages publics ou d\u2019affaires. Cet appareil, connu sous le nom d\u2019<strong>ACME A-1<\/strong> ou <strong>Anser<\/strong>, repr\u00e9sentait une avanc\u00e9e audacieuse dans le domaine des hydravions \u00e0 r\u00e9action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Une <strong>maquette<\/strong> a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9e et le premier vol du prototype \u00e9tait pr\u00e9vu pour <strong>1958<\/strong>. Toutefois, le projet fut abandonn\u00e9 avant son ach\u00e8vement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:50%\">\n<p>Les groupes motopropulseurs s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9s \u00e9taient des turbofans <strong>Continental mod\u00e8le 420<\/strong>, \u00e9galement connus sous le nom de <a href=\"https:\/\/minijets.org\/en\/300-500\/aspin2\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"3889\">Turbomeca Aspin II<\/a>, d\u00e9livrant une pouss\u00e9e nominale de <strong>350 kg<\/strong>. Ce choix \u00e9tait motiv\u00e9 par leur pouss\u00e9e adapt\u00e9e et leur faible consommation sp\u00e9cifique de carburant \u00e0 la vitesse de croisi\u00e8re pr\u00e9vue de 545 km\/h.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De plus, la fonction bypass int\u00e9gr\u00e9e devait agir comme une pompe \u00e0 haut rendement, permettant d\u2019alimenter efficacement le syst\u00e8me de contr\u00f4le de la couche limite (BLC), am\u00e9liorant ainsi les performances a\u00e9rodynamiques de l\u2019appareil lors des phases critiques de vol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" src=\"http:\/\/minijets.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/ACME_A1.jpg\" alt=\"ACME A1\" class=\"wp-image-3530\" srcset=\"https:\/\/minijets.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/ACME_A1.jpg 500w, https:\/\/minijets.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/ACME_A1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/minijets.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/ACME_A1-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column minijets_table is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:50%\">\n<p>L\u2019avion devrait pouvoir d&#8217;op\u00e9rer&nbsp;depuis la terre, la mer ou la neige gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l\u2019utilisation d\u2019une combinaison de flotteurs et de trains d\u2019atterrissage. Il n\u2019\u00e9tait pas n\u00e9cessaire d\u2019utiliser des flotteurs en&nbsp;bout d\u2019aile qui aurait produit une tra\u00een\u00e9e trop importante. Un car\u00e9nage arri\u00e8re r\u00e9tractable en vol aurait r\u00e9duit encore plus&nbsp;les pertes de tra\u00een\u00e9e dues \u00e0 la coque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le syst\u00e8me complet de pi\u00e8ges \u00e0 couches limites devait fournir des caract\u00e9ristiques STOL,\u00a0autorisant une vitesse d&#8217;atterrissage de l&#8217;ordre de 70 km\/h, et permettant \u00e0 l\u2019A-1\u00a0\u00e0 la fois d\u2019\u00eatre utilis\u00e9\u00a0\u00e0 partir de terrains\u00a0non pr\u00e9par\u00e9s et\u00a0de r\u00e9duire les temps de parcours sur l&#8217;eau.
