Il s\u2019engage dans la Marine le 1er avril 1928 comme chef de poste radio, avant de devenir radio navigant. Il obtient son brevet de pilote d\u2019avions et d\u2019hydravions le 1er juillet 1930. Pendant cette p\u00e9riode, il acquiert de l\u2019exp\u00e9rience sur de nombreux types d\u2019appareils, notamment les Hanriot, Caudron, Morane-Saulnier, Nieuport, Dewoitine, Farman, ainsi que divers hydravions. En 1932, il est affect\u00e9 comme pilote d\u2019avions catapult\u00e9s sur un croiseur jusqu\u2019\u00e0 sa d\u00e9mission de la Marine le 31 mars 1933. Il entame alors une carri\u00e8re civile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Formation et d\u00e9but de carri\u00e8re civile<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>En juillet 1935, Jean Cliquet devient moniteur \u00e0 l\u2019\u00c9cole des Boursiers de Pilotage Ren\u00e9 Caudron \u00e0 Royan. Deux ans plus tard, en ao\u00fbt 1937, il rejoint <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Morane-Saulnier\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Morane-Saulnier<\/a><\/strong> en tant que moniteur \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cole de pilotage sur l\u2019a\u00e9rodrome de Villacoublay, avant de devenir <strong>pilote d&#8217;essai<\/strong> en 1938 pour les avions Morane-Saulnier et ceux de la SNCASE. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Lorsque la guerre \u00e9clate, il est mobilis\u00e9 sur place et sert dans une escadrille de Dewoitine 520 jusqu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019Armistice. De d\u00e9cembre 1940 \u00e0 novembre 1942, Jean Cliquet est affect\u00e9 \u00e0 <strong>Air France<\/strong>, au sein de la <strong>Section Civile de Liaisons A\u00e9riennes M\u00e9tropolitaine<\/strong> (SCLAM). Il retourne ensuite chez <strong>Morane-Saulnier<\/strong> \u00e0 Tarbes en 1945, en tant qu&#8217;attach\u00e9 au bureau d\u2019\u00e9tudes, puis devient chef pilote d\u2019essais.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Les premiers vols de prototypes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Le 6 f\u00e9vrier 1945, Jean Cliquet r\u00e9alise le premier vol du <strong>Morane-Saulnier MS470<\/strong>, biplace d\u2019entra\u00eenement militaire, marquant ainsi le premier vol d\u2019un prototype fran\u00e7ais d\u2019apr\u00e8s-guerre. Ce vol est le d\u00e9but d\u2019une longue s\u00e9rie de premiers vols pour Jean Cliquet, qui effectuera, au cours de sa carri\u00e8re, le vol inaugural de <strong>26 prototypes<\/strong>, dont 13 appareils enti\u00e8rement nouveaux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Parmi les appareils qu\u2019il a test\u00e9s figurent les d\u00e9riv\u00e9s du MS 470, tels que le <strong>MS 472<\/strong> \u00e0 moteur Gnome et Rh\u00f4ne 14 M, construit en 230 exemplaires, ainsi que le <strong>MS 475<\/strong> \u00e0 moteur Hispano-Suiza 12 Y, construit \u00e0 200 exemplaires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Du MS 700 au MS 760 Paris<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>En janvier 1949, Jean Cliquet effectue le premier vol du <strong>MS 700<\/strong>, un quadriplace bimoteur de liaison et de grand tourisme, marquant ainsi l\u2019avanc\u00e9e de <strong>Morane-Saulnier<\/strong> dans les avions civils. S&#8217;ensuivent de nombreux nouveaux appareils, avec pour point d&#8217;orgue le <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/minijets.org\/en\/300-500\/turbomeca-marbore\/ms-755-fleuret\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"4592\">MS 755 Fleuret<\/a><\/strong>, puis le <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/minijets.org\/en\/300-500\/turbomeca-marbore\/ms760-paris\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"4619\">MS 760 Paris<\/a><\/strong>, premier quadriplace \u00e0 r\u00e9action au monde. Le 17 d\u00e9cembre 1955, Jean Cliquet participe au vol inaugural du prototype <strong>MS 760 Paris<\/strong>, un mod\u00e8le qui conna\u00eetra un grand succ\u00e8s, avec 216 appareils produits et vendus \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tranger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">D\u00e9fis internationaux<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Jean Cliquet r\u00e9alise plusieurs missions internationales pour promouvoir les avions Morane-Saulnier. Aux \u00c9tats-Unis, de juin \u00e0 octobre 1955, il effectue 851 vols de d\u00e9monstration dans 40 villes, cumulant 443 heures de vol. En 1957, il conduit une autre campagne de d\u00e9monstration en Am\u00e9rique du Sud, couvrant pr\u00e8s de 25 000 km.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fin de carri\u00e8re et retraite<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Jean Cliquet prend sa retraite de <strong>Morane-Saulnier<\/strong> en 1960, mais continue \u00e0 travailler dans l\u2019aviation. En 1962, il rejoint la <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sferma\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SFERMA<\/a><\/strong>, o\u00f9 il contribue au d\u00e9veloppement du Beech-SFERMA <strong>Marquis<\/strong>, un bi-turbopropulseur d\u2019affaires. M\u00eame apr\u00e8s sa retraite, il continue de voler pour la SOCATA, r\u00e9alisant des convoyages et prodiguant ses conseils \u00e0 de jeunes pilotes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Distinctions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Tout au long de sa carri\u00e8re, Jean Cliquet a re\u00e7u plusieurs distinctions, dont la <strong>Croix de Guerre<\/strong>, la <strong>M\u00e9daille de l\u2019A\u00e9ronautique<\/strong>, et il est officier de la <strong>L\u00e9gion d\u2019Honneur<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Appareils dont Jean
