Il a vol\u00e9 avec un &#8216;5J&#8217; et un &#8216;1&#8217; sur l&#8217;empennage vertical, ce n\u00b0 ayant probablement fait de lui le&nbsp;<strong>N\u00b01<\/strong>&nbsp;de la future patrouille des &#8216;Bede Jet Team&#8217;. Le train principal n&#8217;\u00e9tait pas r\u00e9tractable compl\u00e8tement. Il a fait un atterrissage dur \u00e0 &nbsp;Edwards AFB (d\u00e9crochage \u00e0 &nbsp;6 m\u00e8tre d&#8217;altitude), Le pilote, le colonel Jones (\u00e0 &nbsp;v\u00e9rifier) ayant le dot bris\u00e9, ait rest\u00e9 paralys\u00e9. Reconstruit, il sera s\u00e9v\u00e8rement endommag\u00e9 1er ao\u00fbt 1973 \u00e0 &nbsp;Oskosh, l&#8217;occasion de la mise en&nbsp;route de l&#8217;inverseur de pouss\u00e9e pendant la phase d&#8217;atterrissage.
