Le 21mai 1951, les Etablissements Fouga re\u00e7oivent la notification officielle de l\u2019\u00c9tat pour la r\u00e9alisation d\u2019un jet d\u2019entra\u00eenement et la commande de  trois prototypes. Deux de ces prototypes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9 avec l&#8217;empennage papillon (les 01 et 03) et un avec un empennage classique (le 02). Si sa configuration g\u00e9n\u00e9rale est proche de la version d\u00e9finitive, de nombreux \u00e9l\u00e9ments la s\u00e9parent de celle-ci, comme une aile avec un di\u00e8dre de 3\u00b0, un train d&#8217;atterrissage Messier, des entr\u00e9es d&#8217;air sans pi\u00e8ge \u00e0 couche limite, &#8230;  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il ne porte aucune d\u00e9coration, il recevra plus tard les cocardes et la lettre O peinte en noir \u00e0 l\u2019arri\u00e8re des fuseaux moteurs. L\u00e9on Bourriau lui fait faire son premier vol le 06 juillet 1953, accompagn\u00e9 de Jean Bidan comme m\u00e9canicien navigant. Il devient ainsi le troisi\u00e8me des prototypes de CM170R \u00e0 prendre l&#8217;air.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Des am\u00e9liorations majeures ont \u00e9t\u00e9 apport\u00e9es, pr\u00e9figurant ainsi la version finale de l&#8217;a\u00e9ronef. Source : Aviation magazine<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>En&nbsp;<strong>1954<\/strong>, le Fouga Magister est retenu par l&#8217;OTAN comme avion \u00e0 r\u00e9action d&#8217;entra\u00eenement de base. Les commandes affluent alors de plusieurs pays, et une production sous licence est lanc\u00e9e en Allemagne, Isra\u00ebl et Finlande. Au total, 929 exemplaires seront construits, dont certains sont toujours en service 50 ans plus tard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le Fouga Magister a \u00e9t\u00e9 vendu ou construit sous licences dans une
