Aviation magazine, septembre 1956<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column minijets_table is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:50%\">\n<p>Le prototype N\u00b01 du CM 170 M Esquif, qui allait devenir le CM 175 Zephyr, a fait son premier avec<strong>&nbsp;Jacques Grangette&nbsp;<\/strong>aux commandes le&nbsp;<strong>31 juillet 1956<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En plus des deux prototypes du CM-170 M Esquif, &nbsp;28 autres appareils,  rebaptis\u00e9s&nbsp;<strong>Z\u00e9phir<\/strong>, seront command\u00e9s et livr\u00e9s \u00e0 &nbsp;partir de 1960. Le N\u00b03 est sorti des chaines de montage de Potez-Air Fouga \u00e0 Toulouse en octobre 1959. Les autres Z\u00e9phir sortiront au rythme de 2 par mois. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Version navale du CM-170 Magister, le CM-175 s&#8217;en distingue par quelques modifications n\u00e9cessit\u00e9es par son nouvel emploi. On notera entre autres :&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pr\u00e9sentation des diff\u00e9rences entre le Magister et le Zephir<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:50%\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Crosse d&#8217;appontage<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Une crosse d&#8217;appontage a \u00e9t\u00e9 mont\u00e9e sous l&#8217;arri\u00e8re du fuselage. Elle trouve sa place, en position escamot\u00e9e, dans la quille de Lacet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Train d&#8217;atterrissage<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>D\u00e9faite de sa nouvelle destination, l&#8217;appareil perd une partie de sa silhouette, avec un atterrisseurs auparavant tr\u00e8s courts et \u00e0 &nbsp;la voix large. Si cette derni\u00e8re a \u00e9t\u00e9 conserv\u00e9e, les nouveaux amortisseurs \u00e0 &nbsp;longue course ont augment\u00e9 la hauteur du train d&#8217;atterrissage de 15 centim\u00e8tres.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column minijets_table is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:50%\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Verri\u00e8re<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Comme dans la plupart des appareils embarqu\u00e9s de l&#8217;\u00e9poque, les deux hommes d&#8217;\u00e9quipage sont prot\u00e9g\u00e9s par une verri\u00e8re coulissant vers l&#8217;arri\u00e8re rempla\u00e7ant l&#8217;ancienne, du type Clamshell, et autorisant les d\u00e9parts et appontages verri\u00e8re ouverte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">T\u00e9lescope<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Du fait de cette nouvelle disposition le t\u00e9lescope mis \u00e0 &nbsp;disposition du pilote arri\u00e8re a \u00e9t\u00e9 coud\u00e9 en Z de fa\u00e7on \u00e0 &nbsp;permettre le coulissement de la verri\u00e8re avant.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Groupe r\u00e9acteur<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Le CM-175 est \u00e9quip\u00e9 d&#8217;un Marbor\u00e9 II G-3. Celui-ci diff\u00e8re tr\u00e8s peu du F-3 qui \u00e9quipe la premi\u00e8re s\u00e9rie des Magister. On notera des attaches arri\u00e8res revues, plus souple sur le G-3 afin d&#8217;absorber les chocs d&#8217;appontage et de catapultage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">R\u00e9servoirs de bout d&#8217;aile<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Ils sont amovibles (mais non largables en vol). Il participa aux campagnes d&#8217;essais \u00e0 &nbsp;terre, puis sur porte-avions avant d&#8217;\u00eatre int\u00e9gr\u00e9 \u00e0 &nbsp;la section prototype du CEPA (\u00e0 &nbsp;Saint-Rapha\u00ebl) o\u00f9 il est immatricul\u00e9 SR 01. Il est ensuite transf\u00e9r\u00e9 en avril 1962 au CEAN de Rochefort-sur-mer pour servir \u00e0 &nbsp;l&#8217;instruction des \u00e9l\u00e8ves m\u00e9caniciens. Puis transmis au SEA (Service d&#8217;entretien des a\u00e9ronefs) d&#8217;Hy\u00e8res.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apr\u00e8s le retrait des Z\u00e9phir, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 acquis par un collectionneur bas\u00e9 \u00e0 &nbsp;Cuers.
