The converted missile engines were intended solely for the 001, and NPT was slated to develop new engines for the final version of the aircraft. Source : Flight International 25 September 1996<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Williams developed the FJX-1 engine for CMC&#8217;s first production-configured aircraft the&nbsp;<strong>002<\/strong>, built at the Designability R&amp;D Center in Dilton Marsh, England.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rated at 540 lb-thrust, the <a href=\"https:\/\/minijets.org\/300-500\/william-fjx-1\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"5948\">Williams FJX-1<\/a> had more than twice the power of the NPT301.
